So what should you do instead? I think that it is important to instead change the way you look at your body and eating. Instead of thinking negative thoughts about how big you feel or heavy you look it is important to change your mindset and think..What foods are going to nourish my body and give me the most energy? This mentality will not only leave you with much more energy but it will also have you gradually dropping pounds without you really even realizing it. Notice- I used the word gradual and I stand by the word. This process takes time and truthfully, this will assure you that this lifestyle not diet is maintainable. More to come of my nutritional rants :)

Starting with a new mentalitity
When people realize that "uh oh..I need to go on a diet" or "how am I going to get rid of this by spring?" they generally resort to many different measures. I am sure a majority of people, especially with such busy schedules immediately use the word diet as a word for I am going to cut out many different foods and food groups and drop pounds fast. This method may work for some but are the results lasting? Definitely not, and the worst part of all of this is that after a few weeks of working really hard and feeling poopy..you only are slowing down your metabolism and eventually going to gain back more than you lost..that is the general trend.
