Well, I will start out by saying that Danielle is a dork. Who has class on Sunday? Anyways, I also started sports at an early age. Like Danielle, I did gymnastics, played soccer, and ran cross country and track for a brief time. Running wasn't exactly my favorite thing, I kind of got bored sometimes so in high school I stuck to just soccer. The summer between my senior year of high school to my freshman year off college is where my "health kick" began. I was seeing some changes in my body that I did not like, and the overall way I felt just wasn't as good as it used to be.
I am currently 20 years old, and I no longer play any sports. Though I do not play sports anymore I try to do something to better my body every day. I figure if you have a body it should be used, taken care of, and loved. I feel like I am currently in the age range where I am at my prime. My body and overall health will never be better than it is now, so I must do what I can to make it the best it can be. Pilates have so far made the most positive changes to my body. I am trying to jump on the cardio-wagon with Danielle. I have been doing some plyometrics to get my cardio in, and lately I have been trying to pick up on some yoga. As I said before, I have a body so I am going to use it. I am trying to use it in every way it can be used, and I have to say it feels pretty amazing.
I am not here to tell you to count your calories, and too never eat a cookie again; I'd simply like to share the changes in my life style I have made to make myself feel good. It sounds crazy, but taking care of yourself is fun! I think that is what me and Danielle both hope to do; make people feel the best they can feel while having fun with us in the process.
